Have you seen some of the stencils people that don’t draw use to do realism tattoos?
I’ve been at this for almost 21 years.
Shape, shadows, form.
This was done with a basic line stencil and some markers.
I do enjoy realism tattoos but I want freedoms to make it mine and not just regurgitate a picture.
Obviously a portrait is another story but this and the rest that it will become will be from my brain and not an iPad.
What do you think?

Rest in peace my brother. @the.gourd was an ever so talented young man who a lot of us in this area watched come up. Always doodling some bad ass lettering and gangster shit. Lettering master!!
All of us get one ride on this spinning rock hurdling through space. There’s ups and downs. In the end we always hope to strive to do the best we can. We can always be better versions of ourselves
Gonna miss you brother Ronnie
You’re a G
See you when I see you.

Had the pleasure of tattooing “Tank” today. Proud veteran who has trained many professional fighters around this region for quite some time. We walked in with a picture of an eagle done by Sailor Jerry which he is WEARING on his chest. Wanted it re-colored.. yeah.. I had the pleasure of walking him around the shop and showing him a bunch of Jerry’s stuff on the walls. I explained to him why we couldn’t touch it. However he didn’t want to wear the word hell on his arm any longer so we covered and old hot stuff devil with a rock of ages (with some obvious compromises)
Didn’t care much. I got to sit and chat with this human and we laughed and told stories. This is the stuff that makes me enjoy what I do.
